Around 700 university students explored the diverse world of energy

Elliðaárstöð was filled with life when about 700 university students made their way to the annual Energy and Science Day of Reykjavík Energy and its subsidiaries.

ON Power naturally took part in the day along with Reykjavík Energy, Veitur, Ljósleiðarinn and Carbfix. There, students had the opportunity to get to know the companies' operations, meet employees and gain insight into diverse projects and the many opportunities that lie within the group.

The Energy and Science Day holds an important place for us at ON. We want young people from different academic disciplines to know our operations, the projects we work on and the diverse group of people behind them. Hopefully, we also spark interest in some of those who might consider working with us in the future, or get to know us later as customers.

ON's specialists welcomed the students and spoke about their projects and jobs. The diversity is great, as ON employs people from a wide variety of backgrounds, ranging from engineering, natural sciences and computer science to business administration, social sciences and project management.

We thank all the many students who visited us at Elliðaárstöð for coming, for their interest and for the enjoyable conversations. We are already looking forward to the next Energy and Science Day!
